If you are a ceramic artist, we would like to talk about representing you.

The District Clay Gallery represents local, regional and national ceramic artists through a juried system.  We are currently looking for functional, sculptural and figurative artists to represent.  Our goal is to present the best in ceramic art to the Washington DC area and to the online community.

why you should be interested

As this is our first year in operation, we have a special benefit:  30% commission for ceramic artists during our first year.

The Gallery will be holding special ceramic exhibitions throughout the year and is interested in hearing your ideas for possible themes.  Because we are in DC, we are want to get political.  Viva la Revolution!

The Gallery is an integral part of the new 6,400 square foot District Clay Center, the first ceramic center in our nation’s capitol.  One of the Center’s key functions is to promote the best in the ceramic arts in DC metro area.

why you should consider us

• For the first year, the gallery will reduce its commission for new artists to 30 percent.

• DC is big into the arts - according to the Bohemian Index, DC has the 3rd largest number of artists, musicians and writers in a metro area.  (bet that surprised you.)

• A lot of rich people live here.  The DC metro area has the highest per median income of any metro area, including New York and San Francisco.  So it’s a great place to get your work known.

If you are interested in submitting work for consideration, please fill out this short questionnaire and we will get back to you.
